This was a plein air painting made during the 2026 Great Frederick Fair in Frederick, MD.
I grew up going to the Fair every year, and entering art and baked goods. The ribbons I won on my art always encouraged me to keep creating art. The Fair played a large part in my art journey, so I wanted top commemorate the exciting atmosphere in a painting. I no longer live in Frederick County, so I can’t enter this painting in 2027 but it exists as a memory and reminder of a place that holds great significance in my art journey.
